Day Trip to the Pozuelos Lagoon

Are you passionate about nature? On this excursion to the Pozuelos Lagoon, we'll travel to the Puna region to visit an impressive conservation area in the northwest of Argentina.

Tour Highlights

We'll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and head north to the Puna region, in the high plateau area of the province of Jujuy.

First, we'll make a brief stop in the small town of Abra Pampa, where we'll visit its famous handicraft market and observe the work of a cooperative of weavers who produce high-quality garments.

Next, we'll continue to the Pozuelos Lagoon, a protected area designated as a Natural Monument that is home to many birds, especially a large colony of flamingos, visible mainly from May to September.

We'll take a break by the lagoon for a picnic. Afterward, we will look for other wildlife, including vicuñas, suris, foxes, and chinchillas.

We will return to your hotel, arriving between 9 and 11 hours after pickup.
