Day Trip to the Pozuelos Lagoon

Are you passionate about nature? On this excursion to the Pozuelos Lagoon, we'll travel to the Puna region in northwest Argentina.

Tour Highlights

We'll pick you up at your hotel at the scheduled time and head north to the Puna region in the province of Jujuy.

Our first stop will be in the small town of Abra Pampa, where we will visit a handicraft market and observe the artisan work of a local cooperative of weavers.

After Abra Pampa, we will continue to the Pozuelos Lagoon, a protected area and Natural Monument that serves as a habitat for numerous birds, including a significant colony of flamingos, best seen from May to September.

We will take a break by the lagoon for a picnic. Afterward, we will look for additional wildlife, including vicuñas, suris, foxes, and chinchillas.

We will then return to your hotel, arriving between 9 and 11 hours after pickup.
