If you have a love for the outdoors, this excursion to the Pozuelos Lagoon invites you to explore a remarkable conservation landscape in the Puna region of northwest Argentina.

Tour Highlights

Your adventure begins with a timely pickup from your hotel, followed by a northward journey towards the Puna region, located in the elevated plateau of Jujuy province.

Our first stop will be in the quaint town of Abra Pampa, renowned for its vibrant handicraft market. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe the skilled techniques of a local cooperative of weavers known for their exquisite textile creations.

Continuing your journey, we will head towards the Pozuelos Lagoon. This breathtaking natural reserve, recognized as a Natural Monument, provides a vital habitat for a variety of bird species, particularly highlighted by a significant population of flamingos that can be observed primarily between May and September.

We'll pause for a moment by the lagoon, allowing you to rejuvenate—don't forget to pack a picnic! After enjoying your meal, keep your eyes peeled for other wildlife present in the Pozuelos Lagoon, including vicuñas, suris, foxes, and chinchillas.

After experiencing the lagoon, we will return you to your hotel, with an expected arrival time between 9 to 11 hours post pickup.
