Cliffs of Moher & Aillwee Caves Day Trip

  • 13 Stunden

Discover the rugged beauty of the west of Ireland on this day trip to the Aillwee Caves and the Cliffs of Moher from Dublin. We'll also enjoy a boat trip along the wild Atlantic coast.

Description

We'll meet at the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street in Dublin at the designated time. After boarding the bus, we'll depart westward, passing through quaint villages, lush countryside, and castle ruins.

Our first stop will be the Aillwee Caves, where we will explore this cave system, the oldest caves in Ireland, formed 330 million years ago. We'll travel 850 metres below ground to see rock formations, waterfalls, and historic bear hibernation chambers.

Next, we'll embark on an hour-long boat ride along the Cliffs of Moher, providing a unique perspective of the cliffs.

After the boat ride, there's an opportunity to walk along the top of the Cliffs of Moher and visit the visitor centre for information about the area's history, flora, fauna, and geology.

Finally, we'll return to Dublin, arriving after approximately 12.5 hours.

Winter Tours

During the winter season (November to March), the boat tour will be replaced by a birds of prey experience at a conservation centre. We will also visit Bunratty Castle, originating from the year 1425.
