Visit 1 Merrion Square in Dublin. Upon arrival, enjoy a 20-minute video presentation that provides an overview of Oscar Wilde's life and his parents. The journey begins in the library of Oscar’s father, Sir William Wilde.
Enter the house via the back stairs to view an exhibition of artworks by Aubrey Beardsley, known for illustrating Wilde’s play, "Salome." Next, explore the consultation room of Sir William Wilde, which shares the history of a family home that blended scientific and literary achievements.
Next are the dining room and the Speranza room, which offered views of the Oscar Wilde statue across the street. These areas hosted Speranza’s salons, gatherings attended by notable figures.
On the third floor, discover the bedrooms of Wilde’s parents, filled with history. The tour concludes at Oscar’s childhood nursery, where an exhibition focuses on his grand tour of the United States and Canada in 1882.
