Visit 1 Merrion Square in Dublin and begin with a 20-minute video presentation detailing Oscar Wilde's life and his family's background. The exploration starts in the library of Oscar’s father, Sir William Wilde.
Enter via the back stairs to view an exhibition of artworks by Aubrey Beardsley, known for illustrating Wilde’s play, "Salome." The consultation room of Sir William Wilde, which served as both a medical space and family home, is also featured.
Next, explore the dining room and the Speranza room, which hosted weekly salons by Wilde’s mother, attracting notable figures. On the third floor, see the bedrooms of Wilde’s parents and conclude at Oscar’s childhood nursery, showcasing an exhibition on his grand tour of the US and Canada in 1882.
