Kotor Bay Day Trip
- 9 - 11 Stunden
Beautiful nature, legendary history and charming culture... what more could you want from a day trip? Visit the spectacular mountain-surrounded Bay of Kotor on Montenegro's Dalmatian Coast.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Pile Gate and head toward the Konavle Valley. Shortly afterward, you'll cross into Montenegro and make a brief stop to photograph the Verige Strait, the narrowest point of the Bay of Kotor. The tour includes views of the greenery-covered mountains and the inlet of the Adriatic Sea, often referred to as Europe's southernmost fjord, although it is a river valley.
You will travel through the historic coastal villages of Risan and Perast before arriving at Kotor, where you will enjoy a guided tour of the historic center of this ancient walled city, a World Heritage Site. Key sites include the 12th-century Cathedral of St. Trifun and the Kampana Tower. You will also have free time to explore the Maritime Museum or the Cat Museum.
After this, you will return to Perast for 2 hours of free time, with the option to take a boat to Gospa od Škrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks) to visit its church and museum. Finally, you will return to Dubrovnik via bus, arriving at the Hotel Villa Dard after 9 to 11 hours.
