Durango Wild West Tour

Mike Wagner, Charlton Heston, John Wayne... we're sure these names will ring a bell! We'll pick you up from your hotel in Durango and set off on a tour of the most iconic filming locations from the Wild West genre.

We'll begin by admiring the incredible scenery of the Peña del Águila reservoir, surrounded by eucalyptus forests. Approximately 20 minutes from the reservoir is the La Joya ranch, owned by John Wayne, where films like The Sons of Katie Elder and Texas Rising were filmed.

Next, we'll visit the village of San Vicente de Chupaderos. Here, we will explore the streets and visit the old saloon, sheriff's office, gallows, and cemetery. Westerns such as White Feather were filmed in this location.

To experience the cowboy life, we'll visit the Villas del Oeste Theme Park, where over 150 productions were shot during the 60s and 70s. We'll explore the ghost town to see the jail, saloon, and enjoy a cancan dancer show and a duel.

After this immersive experience, we'll return to your hotel in Durango, concluding the tour 5.5 hours later.
