Mapimí & Ojuela Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Durango and set off for Mapimí, which is one of Mexico's Pueblos Mágicos. Upon arrival, you'll have 1 hour of free time for breakfast.
Next, we will visit the Benito Juárez Museum, the former home of the "Benemérito de las Américas". Here, you will see his room, along with various documents, utensils, and paintings related to the indigenous politician.
On our way out, we will pass by the house of the revolutionary priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and view the Church of Santiago Apóstol, notable for its Baroque and Mudejar details from the 18th century.
We will then proceed to the abandoned village of Ojuela, where we will cross the suspension bridge that was used to transport minerals from the Santa Rita mine, discovered in 1598. During a guided tour, we will discuss historical insights about the area.
At the end of the tour, you'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch before we return to Durango, with an estimated arrival time at your hotel 12 hours later.
