Durres Free Tour

The Amphitheatre, the Archaeological Museum, the Venetian Tower... On this free tour of Durres, we'll discover the charms of this city located on the Adriatic Sea.

Description

After meeting at the indicated time in front of Durres City Hall, we'll start our free tour of Durres. Our first stop will be the Byzantine Forum, the former centre of the ancient city of Dyrrhachium. We'll then visit the majestic Amphitheatre of Durres.

Next, we will stop outside the Durres Archaeological Museum to learn about the region's history. Following this, we will head to the Alexander Moisiu Cultural Centre, dedicated to contemporary Albanian art.

Our journey continues to the Top Hane Well and the Santa Lucia Catholic Church, the city's oldest church. We will also see The Beauty of Durrës, a masterpiece from the 4th century BC.

We will explore the Byzantine walls, the Roman Baths, and the Venetian Tower. We will then visit the Fatih Mosque and the Residence of King Zog I.

Finally, we will conclude the tour at the seafront promenade, enjoying the coastal views. After a total of 2.5 hours, we will end this free tour and say our goodbyes.
