Description

After meeting at the indicated time at Veliera Square, we'll start our free tour of Durres. Our first stop will be the vibrant Byzantine Forum, the former Byzantine Roman centre of the ancient city of Dyrrhachium or Dyrrah. We'll then head to the majestic Amphitheatre of Durres.

Next, we will visit the Durres Archaeological Museum, which showcases the region's rich history. After this, we'll proceed to the Alexander Moisiu Cultural Centre, dedicated to contemporary Albanian art and culture.

We will continue to the Top Hane Well and nearby, the Santa Lucia Catholic Church, the oldest church in the city. We will also see The Beauty of Durrës, a masterpiece from the 4th century BC.

Our tour will include the Byzantine walls, the Roman Baths, and the Venetian Tower. We will visit the Fatih Mosque and the Residence of King Zog I.

Finally, we will conclude the tour at the seafront promenade, enjoying the coastline views. After a total of 2.5 hours, we will end this free tour.
