Explore the very north of Scotland, visiting highlights like Loch Ness and the Great Glen.
Tour Details
Day 1
We’ll depart from Edinburgh at 60 High Street. Enjoy views of the Forth Bridge and journey through Perthshire, visiting the village of Dunkeld along the River Tay. Continue to the Great Glen, a 62-mile valley, reaching Fort Augustus for leisure time at Loch Ness. The evening will include a visit to Eilean Donan Castle before arriving at the Isle of Skye, specifically the capital, Portree, for overnight accommodation.
Day 2
Spend the day exploring Isle of Skye, learning about its myths and legends, including Bonnie Prince Charlie. Visit the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock with its waterfall, and Dunvegan Castle. The night will also be spent in Portree.
Day 3
On the final day, explore more of Skye before taking the ferry to Mallaig. Enjoy views from the coach, including Glenfinnan Viaduct. Visit the Dundreggan Rewilding Centre before returning to Edinburgh via Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, arriving around 8:30 pm at Waterloo Place.
Itinerary Changes
Winter itineraries differ; Dunvegan Castle is a summer-only visit. From mid-October to mid-April, on the third day, see the Skye Bridge and Commando Memorial. The tour may run in reverse, but attractions remain the same.
Accommodation
All packages are Bed and Breakfast only, based in Portree. Breakfast is included; other meals are not provided.

Some castles are open April to October, with alternatives from October to April.Dunvegan and Eilean Donan Castles are optional extras to be paid on the day.From May 20 to June 6, 2024, the Harry Potter train will not operate, and travel will be by bus.
