Embark on a 60-minute route featuring engaging commentary available in English and eight other languages. Learn about the history and culture of the places you'll encounter along the way. Some of the notable stops include Princes Street, Calton Hill, Grassmarket, Holyroodhouse Palace, the Scottish National Gallery, and Edinburgh Castle. Please note that your ticket grants access only to the red line of the City Sightseeing Edinburgh.

How It Works

Your ticket provides 24 hours of unlimited access, starting from your first boarding. If you board at 3 pm on a Monday, your ticket remains valid until 3 pm the following Tuesday. You can hop on and off as many times as you like during this period to explore attractions such as Holyroodhouse Palace, Grassmarket, Edinburgh Castle, and the National Museum of Scotland.

Ticket Validity

While you will need to select a start day when booking, you can commence your adventure within 3 months of the chosen date. Upon reservation, you will receive an email with a voucher that must be presented when boarding the bus for the first time.

Schedule & Frequency

During winter, from November to June, the Edinburgh sightseeing bus operates from 9 am to 4 pm, running every 12 minutes. These times are flexible and subject to change.
