Loch Ness & the Scottish Highlands: 2 Day Tour Itinerary
The tour begins with a pickup from the meeting point in Edinburgh. The first stop is Luss, a conservation village on Loch Lomond. The journey continues alongside the loch, through Rannoch Moor and Black Mount, before reaching Glencoe. Here, you will make a stop to observe the site of the Clan Macdonald Massacre in 1692.
The route takes you to Fort William, where you can have lunch before traveling around Loch Ness. You will see the ruins of Urquhart Castle before arriving in Inverness for the night.
On the second day, you can tailor your itinerary. Options include visiting Culloden Battlefield, exploring the Neolithic Clava Cairns, or enjoying a whisky tasting at Dalwhinnie Distillery.
After lunch, the tour proceeds to Ruthven Barracks and The Hermitage for a woodland walk (summer months only), before returning to Edinburgh, arriving around 7:30 pm.

Luggage is restricted to one medium-sized suitcase per person.This tour returns to Edinburgh Waverley Station, about a 15-minute walk from the departure point.Optional extras are not included, but discounted entry is available: Culloden Battlefield is 6.50 GBP per person; Dalwhinnie Distillery tasting is 4 GBP for one, 5 GBP for two, and 6 GBP for three (prices as of April 2019). Some attractions may not accept credit cards, so bring cash for entrance fees.Children under 5 years are not permitted.
