Desert Lake Adventure + Vespignani Glacier Trek

Your journey begins with a timely hotel pickup in El Calafate, from where we will travel by bus to El Chaltén. A brief stop will be made alongside the La Leona River for a relaxing break.

After approximately three hours on the road, we will reach El Chaltén. Following this, we will traverse an impressive panoramic route that leads through verdant forests to the charming Desert Lake. This picturesque location offers a delightful half-hour boat ride, allowing you to closely admire the Huemul and Creston glaciers.

Upon disembarking at the base of the Vespignani glacier, we will venture into a stunning nature reserve to commence an exciting trekking journey. The duration of the hike will vary based on the chosen trail's difficulty, ranging from 15 to 45 minutes.

While taking in the breathtaking vistas of the Patagonian landscape and capturing stunning views of the north face of Mount Fitz Roy, you will have the opportunity to savor a delightful lunch to replenish your energy. We will then board the boat again to return to the bus for our trip back to El Calafate.

In total, the excursion lasts around 14 hours, concluding with your transport back to the hotel.
