El Calafate Balcony ATV Trip

Argentino Lake, the Stone Labyrinth, and the Stone of the Hats are some of the natural sights we will discover on this ATV tour of the balconies of El Calafate.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel and start our ATV trip through the Huyliche mountain range to the balconies of El Calafate. We will drive up to 1,100 metres above sea level, enjoying views of the Andes Mountains, the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the steppe, and Lake Argentino.

After a photo stop at Cerro Huyliche, we will hike down to the El Calafate Balconies, where an informational talk will provide insight into the geography and geology of Cerro Fitz Roy, Lake Argentino, and the Perito Moreno Glacier.

We will then return down the mountain in a 4x4 vehicle to visit Estancia Huyliche, a cattle ranch from the 1920s. After the historical overview, we will have a break for lunch or a snack, depending on whether you booked the morning or afternoon tour.

Lunch includes a meat empanada, beef casserole, chocolate brownie, mineral water, juice, and a glass of Santa Julia Malbec red wine, with an upgrade option to a Premium wine. The snack consists of coffee, tea, juice, homemade cake, scones, and pastries, with gluten-free and vegetarian options available.

After 4 hours of exploring, we will return to El Calafate, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
