El Chalten and Mirador Condores Trip

Explore the beautiful Patagonian landscapes of Santa Cruz with this fantastic trip from El Calafate. You will visit charming El Chaltén, the spectacular Mirador de los Cóndores viewpoint, and the idyllic Chorrillo del Salto waterfall.

El Chaltén and Mirador Condores Trip

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate and set off along Route 40. This road takes us through stunning Patagonian landscapes, around Lake Argentino and across the Santa Cruz and La Leona rivers.

After a brief pause at La Leona, we will continue along Route 40 next to Lake Viedma, with the Andes Mountains in the background. The road trip ends in El Chaltén, where we will visit the Interpretation Centre. We will then begin a gentle hike lasting about an hour and a quarter.

At the end of the trail, we will reach the Mirador de los Cóndores viewpoint, offering views of Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy, as well as surrounding glacial landscapes.

After taking photos, we will hike back to El Chaltén for lunch at a local restaurant, including a main course and a non-alcoholic beverage. After lunch, we will take a 30-minute hike to Chorrillo del Salto waterfall. Remember to bring your camera to capture memories of the cascades!

After enjoying the waterfall, we will return to El Chaltén, giving you one hour of free time to explore the town independently. We will then meet to return to El Calafate, with arrival at your hotel scheduled between 8 and 9 pm.
