Estancia Cristina Hike & Boat Tour

The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel, followed by a drive to Estancia Cristina. After approximately one hour, we arrive at Punta Bandera quay, where we will board a boat to Estancia Cristina. During the two and a half hour boat ride, we will cruise along the Upsala channel and view the Upsala Glacier ice wall.

Upon arrival at Estancia Cristina, you will take a 4x4 jeep to a viewpoint with views of the glacier and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Next, we will embark on a 14-kilometre hike through the Cañadón de los Fósiles, known for its million-year-old fossils, with your guide highlighting the key sites.

A short lunch break is included, consisting of two sandwiches, a biscuit, fruit, and water. We will continue our hike until we reach Estancia Cristina by 5:30 pm. Afterward, we will sail back to Punta Bandera, with transfer back to El Calafate and completion of the tour in approximately 12.5 hours.

Tour without transfers

If you prefer to travel to Estancia Cristina independently, you can book the tour without transfers. In this case, meet your guide at the quay at ?Estancia Cristina, Punta Bandera, at 8:15 am, with the return boat departing at 7 pm.
