Estancia Cristina Hike & Boat Tour

The tour begins with hotel pickup at the scheduled time to head towards Estancia Cristina. After approximately one hour's drive, we will arrive at the Punta Bandera quay and board a boat for a 2.5-hour ride to Estancia Cristina. During the cruise, views of the Upsala Glacier can be enjoyed.

Upon arrival, participants will board an offroading vehicle for a ride to a viewpoint overlooking the glacier and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Next, we will embark on a 14-kilometre hike through the Cañadón de los Fósiles, where your guide will point out significant fossils.

During the hike, a break will be taken to have lunch, including two sandwiches, a biscuit, fruit, and water. Afterward, the hike will continue until reaching Estancia Cristina at 5:30 pm.

The return journey will include sailing back to Punta Bandera, where a vehicle will be ready to transport participants back to El Calafate, completing the trip in approximately 12.5 hours.

Tour without Transfers

For those preferring to travel independently, a tour option without transfers is available. Participants must meet the guide at the Estancia pier at Punta Bandera by 8:15 am. The return boat trip will drop participants at the quay at 7 pm.
