Estancia Cristina & Upsala Glacier Cruise

After picking you up at your hotels at the scheduled time, we will drive for one hour to the quay at Punta Bandera.

We'll board a boat and sail to Estancia Cristina, cruising down the Upsala channel for two and a half hours, approaching the glacier. Upon disembarking at Estancia Cristina, a medium-difficulty hike will commence.

With your guide, you'll navigate a Patagonian forest, spotting Antarctic beech trees and various endemic birds. The hike will lead to a viewpoint with a panoramic view of Lake Argentino.

The route continues uphill towards the Perros waterfall, offering views of the Caterina River valley. We will visit the estancia's museum, chapel, water mill, and other points of interest.

A boat will then take us back to the port of Punta Bandera, where a minibus will return you to El Calafate. The entire tour lasts approximately 12.5 hours.

Lunch

You may bring your own food or choose the tour option including lunch: two empanadas, a main dish (lamb stew or pesto pasta), a flan for dessert, a beverage (wine or soft drink), and coffee or tea.

Book without transfers

If you prefer to travel to Estancia Cristina yourself, you can book without transfers. Meet your guide at the quay at Estancia, located at Punta Bandera, at 8:15 am. The return boat will drop you off at the quay at 7 pm.
