Lake Argentino Cruise

Do you want to sail across Lake Argentino and hike through the Los Glaciares National Park? This tour includes hiking and sailing through these icy landscapes.

Tour Details

This trip allows you to explore the Los Glaciares National Park through hiking trails and boat sailing. After hotel pickup at the scheduled time, we will proceed to the port of Punta Bandera, where we will start our boat trip along the Canal de los Témpanos of Lake Argentino.

The first stop is Toro Bay, where we will embark on a 45-minute hike to explore the wildlife of the Patagonian forest, including diverse tree species such as white oaks and Antarctic beech trees. Notably, we will observe a century-old guindo tree with a trunk over three metres in diameter.

We will continue walking to a waterfall for a rest break. On our return to the boat, we will view the hanging glaciers of Cerro Negro and Cerro Mayo with another hour-long hike. We will pause for lunch with panoramic views of the landscape.

We will sail once more on Lake Argentino towards the Perito Moreno glacier, where you will have an hour of free time to walk along the footbridges for unique perspectives of the nearly 80-metre high ice wall.

Afterward, we will return to the port of Punta Bandera for transport back to El Calafate. The tour concludes after 10 hours.

This activity can also be booked without transfers at a reduced price. If you choose this option, please arrive at the port of Punta Bandera by 9 am on the day of the activity. The meeting point is at the Solo Patagonia dock.
