Experience the stunning landscapes of Argentine Patagonia on our Lake Frías Hike & Glacier Boat Trip, featuring lenga beech forests and glacial valleys in Los Glaciares National Park.
Boat Trip Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate and transport you to Los Glaciares National Park. Our first stop will be at Los Pioneros harbour for a 1-hour boat trip through beautiful sections of Lake Argentino. Upon landing on the shore of the South Arm, we will begin our hike.
The initial hiking route spans 1.2 miles (2 km) and leads to the shores of Lake Frías, where we will board a Zodiac boat to cross the lake. Disembarking on the opposite shore, we will embark on another hike of 2.8 miles (4.5 km) through a forest of centennial lenga beech trees and a glacial valley.
We will then proceed to the Lake Frías Superior area, known for its icebergs and stunning views of the Dickson, Cubo, and Grande glaciers. A picnic lunch will be provided, including sandwiches, a cereal bar, dried fruits, sweets, fruit, mineral water, and orange juice.
After lunch, we will return to the starting point via boat and the initial hiking route. The experience concludes with your return to your hotel in El Calafate after 12 hours.
