Discover the customs, traditions and gastronomy of the Argentinean culture of Patagonia on our Nibepo Aike Ranch Visit & Perito Moreno Boat Trip. You'll learn about local traditions and go on an unforgettable boat trip next to the famous Perito Moreno Glacier.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll see you at your hotel in El Calafate and drive to the Nibepo Aike ranch, located next to the Brazo Rico on the southern shore of Lake Argentino.
During the visit to this Patagonian ranch, we will explore rural Argentine customs and traditions. The tour includes a sheep shearing demonstration and observation of tasks performed by the gauchos.
A traditional Patagonian lunch will follow, featuring roast lamb with salad, local wine, and a dulce de leche crêpe. After lunch, we will proceed to the shore of Lake Argentino for a boat ride on the Brazo Rico.
We will step off the boat at Monedas Beach for a walk through a lenga beech forest, culminating in a viewpoint of the Perito Moreno Glacier, exclusive to this excursion.
After enjoying the views, we'll return to the boat and sail along the south face of Perito Moreno, where we will enjoy a glass of whisky with ice from the glacier and chocolates. We will also stop at the Perito Moreno footbridges for additional views, timed to have fewer visitors.
The tour concludes with a return to Lake Argentino's shore and a drive back to El Calafate, arriving at your hotel approximately 10 hours after pickup.
