Cagliero Glacier Trek
At the indicated time, pickup will be from your hotel in El Chaltén for departure to Los Huemules Reserve, about 10 miles (16 km) away. After entering Los Glaciares National Park, the trek begins. The first segment goes through forest, offering views of Fitz Roy mountain, which rises over 11,000 feet. This stage ends at Laguna del Diablo, where harnesses and helmets will be provided for the via Ferrata route.
After scaling the mountain slopes, reach the Vivac Cagliero base camp. Here, crampons will be equipped for a two-hour hike on the glacier. Following this experience, return along the same route to Los Huemules, where there will be time to eat (not included). The total duration of the activity is 10 hours, ending with return to your hotel in El Chaltén.
Pickup Info
Pickup is included at the indicated time from hotels in central El Chaltén. If you're in more remote areas, pickup will be at 56 San Martín Avenue.
Not-Included Tickets
This activity does not include admission to the northern area of Los Glaciares National Park in El Chaltén. Voucher instructions for purchasing tickets will be provided.
