Discover one of the most beautiful spots in all of the Patagonian Andes when you take this amazing trek to the Cagliero Glacier. You will encounter some of the world's most impressive landscapes.
Cagliero Glacier Trek
We will pick you up from your hotel in El Chaltén and depart for Los Huemules Reserve, located around 10 miles (16 km) away. We will enter Los Glaciares National Park and begin our trek through forest, with views of the Fitz Roy mountain, over 11,000 feet tall. This leg concludes at Laguna del Diablo (The Devil's Lagoon), where we will equip ourselves with harness and helmet to climb the via Ferrata.
After scaling the mountain slopes, we will reach the Vivac Cagliero base camp. From there, we will put on crampons for a two-hour hike on the glacier. Following this, we will return the same way to Los Huemules, where you will have time for a meal (not included) before being taken back to your hotel in El Chaltén, totaling approximately 10 hours.
Pickup Info
This activity includes pick up at the indicated time from hotels in central El Chaltén. For those in remote areas, pick up will be at 56 San Martín Avenue.
Not-Included Tickets
This activity does not include admission to the northern area of Los Glaciares National Park in El Chaltén. Instructions for purchasing these tickets will be provided on your voucher.
