Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the ticket office in Herculaneum, opposite the ancient Roman city's archaeological site which was covered by lava and ash during Vesuvius' eruption in 79 AD.

Here, we'll receive our tickets to Herculaneum, a virtual reality headset, and an English audioguide. You will explore the site on your own with these devices, allowing you to discover the history of the ancient city immersively.

The VR headset enables you to see a 3D reconstruction of the ruins in Herculaneum. While exploring, following the audioguide's explanations, you'll view various holograms that recreate Roman life just before the eruption.

Key sites such as the baths, the Sacello degli Augustali, and the Casa di Nettuno ed Anfitrite will come to life through 3D reconstructions. At the end of the 2-hour immersive experience, you must return your headset and audioguide. Following this, you can visit the sites in Herculaneum that interest you the most at your own leisure.
