Pompeii & Vesuvius Transfer

Activity Overview

At the scheduled time, we will convene at the Ercolano Scavi station, where a bus will take you to the Vesuvius National Park. The bus ride will last approximately 30 minutes.

Upon reaching an altitude of 1000 meters, you will disembark and enjoy 2 hours of free time to immerse yourself in the unique volcanic scenery. The panoramas overlooking the Gulf of Naples are absolutely breathtaking.

Vesuvius gained international notoriety due to the explosive eruption in 79 A.D., which resulted in the burial of the Roman towns of Pompeii and Herculaneum. You can trek along its paths and even approach the crater, an experience that will amaze you!

After your exploration, it's time to board the bus once more, this time heading to the Pompeii Archaeological Park, which we will reach in about 40 minutes. Upon arrival, you'll receive tickets to access this site and we will part ways.

You will have the freedom to navigate through Pompeii at your own rhythm for as long as you desire until closing time. The meticulously preserved frescoes and structures will transport you back in time, allowing you to experience life during the ancient Roman Empire. Key sites such as the House of the Faun, the Temple of Apollo, the Forum, and the Lupanar are must-see attractions.

Once you've explored the archaeological site, you can return to Herculaneum by train or bus, spend a night in Pompeii, or continue your journey to Naples or other desired locations. The decision is entirely yours!
