Los Alerces National Park Tour
After picking you up at your hotel in Esquel at 2:30 pm, we'll drive to Los Alerces National Park, located on the border between Argentina and Chile.
We'll start by crossing the Percey River via the "Puente de Fierro" (Iron Bridge), an old footbridge used by carters traveling to Esquel. The route will take us along the Terraplén and La Coqueta lagoons. We will also see lake Futalaufquen and the village of the same name, known for its architecture by Alejandro Bustillo.
Next, we'll visit the Alero de Pinturas Rupestres, home to paintings over 1600 years old from the Tehuelche culture. The tour continues to viewpoints near the Museum of Nature, where we will learn about local wildlife.
We will make brief stops at the Futalaufquen lodge and Puerto Limonao for photographs of the surrounding lakes, mountains, valleys, and forests.
Finally, we'll return, with an estimated arrival back at your hotel in Esquel at 7:30 pm.
