Explore the mesmerizing realm of henna art in our dedicated workshop, where you will have the chance to create your own tattoos under the guidance of knowledgeable Berber women.

Details of the Workshop

We will gather at the Hotel Kanz Erremal at the arranged time to embark on this unique henna experience. Are you prepared to uncover the traditions of this artistry in the enchanting Merzouga desert? Let’s begin!

Once everyone is ready, we will delve into the cultural importance of henna in Moroccan society. This traditional body art has been used for generations to embellish hands and feet during weddings, religious festivities, and numerous other significant occasions. You’ll learn that many symbols are employed to ward off negativity or to promote fertility.

Following an introduction, we will guide you through the process of making henna paste, along with the traditional application methods for your designs. Skilled Berber women, proficient in this folklore technique, will teach you to illustrate popular symbols and their interpretations. For instance, drawing flowers symbolizes both joy and fertility. Let’s start crafting!

After a quick demonstration, you will have the chance to design your own henna tattoo on your hand or foot. This will act as a delightful memento of your journey! Additionally, we will share advice on how to prolong the design’s vibrancy on your skin.

Once this engaging hour comes to an end, with your skin adorned in henna designs, we will conclude at the entrance of your hotel.
