Overnight Desert Camel Trek

One of the popular activities in Morocco is to discover the Sahara Desert on a camel and spend a night in a Berber tent. This tour starts from Merzouga.

Description

Day 1

Begin your adventure by riding a camel into the sand dunes from Merzouga. Experience the traditional Bedouin travel style during a one-hour journey, capturing photos of the sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes. At the desert camp, enjoy Moroccan mint tea and explore the dunes on foot before a Moroccan dinner, followed by a performance of traditional Berber drumming.

Day 2

Wake up early to witness a stunning sunrise over the sand mounds. After a healthy breakfast and a refreshing shower, return to Merzouga on your camel, arriving in the morning.

Duration

The tour includes one night's accommodation, with the duration varying by season:
October 1st to April 15th: departure at 4:30 pm, duration 17 hours.April 15th to June 30th: departure at 6 pm, duration 15 hours.July 1st to September 30th: departure at 6:45 pm, duration 14 hours.
