After picking you up from your hotel in Merzouga at the designated time, we'll begin our journey to Rissani, noted for its historical importance as the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. The drive will cover 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) through impressive landscapes until we reach Rissani.

Upon arrival, you'll notice the majestic Kasbah and the vibrant traditional city souk. The market is especially lively on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, making these days ideal for shopping and experiencing local culture, as the souk serves as a gathering point for neighboring villages.

In the souk, you'll find a great variety of products and traditional handicrafts, including items like sheep and exotic spices, offering insight into the daily life of Rissani's residents. You'll also have the opportunity to interact with locals and learn about their customs.

Following the souk exploration, you'll have free time for a meal. Then, our journey continues to Moulay Ali Cherif's Mausoleum, significant in cultural and religious terms. This site houses the remains of Moulay Ali Cherif, an ancestor of the current Moroccan king, within a mosque. We'll discuss Moroccan architecture and its history here.
