Day Trip Details
After meeting in front of the Riad Azawad hotel, you will leave the city behind and drive into the sand dunes.
The first stop will be at the nomad villages within the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will have the opportunity to drink tea with them as they explain their traditions and way of life.
The next stop is Khamlia, a village on the desert's edge, home to the Gnawa ethnic group, who are descendants of African slaves brought to Morocco.
After visiting the village, you will experience a Gnawa music performance, featuring a blend of classical Islamic music and African beats.
Finally, after enjoying a sunset in the desert, you will return to the meeting point.
