Combine history and nature on a guided tour through Eze, a medieval town on the French Riviera, including a visit to the famous Exotic Garden of Eze!
Eze Guided Tour
The guided tour begins at the town's fortified gate from the 14th century, where we will observe the Eze coat of arms with the inscription "Isis Moriendo Renascor," meaning "I was reborn when I died." We will explore the history behind this inscription as we enter the Old Town of Eze in the Cote d'Azur.
Next, we will proceed to Place du Planet and then to Château des Riquiers, where we will find the Town Hall and the History Museum. The museum features various tools, clothing, weapons, and documents relevant to Eze's history.
Our tour continues to the Santa Cruz Chapel, a 12th-century site showcasing frescoes and a 1515 altarpiece by Luis Brea.
We will also visit the Exotic Garden of Eze, which hosts over 400 species of plants and cacti, along with statues by sculptor Philippe Richard. Here, attendees can enjoy panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the French Riviera.
Finally, after 1.5 hours of exploring the gardens and Eze, we will conclude the tour at the neoclassical Notre-Dame de l'Assomption Church, built in the 18th century.
