Guavate Excursion

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up in front of the CVS Pharmacy in Fajardo and head towards Caguas, located south of San Juan in the central mountain range of Puerto Rico.

We'll make a brief stop at the Plaza del Centenario to learn about the history of the municipality. From there, we'll proceed to Charco Azul, a natural pool where you'll have about an hour of free time for a refreshing dip.

Next, we'll travel to Guavate, a district in Cayey, for a guided tour through its streets, surrounded by the lush vegetation of the Puerto Rican jungle.

Guavate is known for its lechoneras, restaurants specializing in roast pork, a culinary highlight of the area. It is the most popular destination on the Puerto Rican Ruta del Lechón, featuring numerous restaurants and kiosks.

Make sure to take the opportunity during your free time to sample the roast pork at a lechonera of your choice.

Finally, we'll reconvene in central Guavate to return to Fajardo, with an estimated arrival at the meeting point scheduled for 8-9 hours after pickup.
