Description

This Faro tourist train will take you on a 50-minute tour around the significant sites of this city in southern Portugal while learning through the audio guide available aboard.

The train ride will start at Praça Dom Francisco Gomes and will first tour the old town, including the Cathedral of Faro, the Episcopal Palace, and the statue of Alfonso III, the king who claimed the southwestern part of Portugal.

The tour continues to the Museum of Faro and the Natural Park of the Ria Formosa, a noted birdwatching spot. The recorded commentary in English provides information about the places encountered during the ride.

The train will also visit the church of São Francisco, the Faro Market, the church of Carmen, and the Regional Museum of the Algarve.

After 50 minutes, the tour concludes at Praça Dom Francisco Gomes.
