We'll pick you up at your hotel in Caxias do Sul at the indicated time to begin this tour focused on the history of Italian immigration in the city, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
During the visit, we'll explore the arrival of Italian immigrants from Lombardy, Veneto, and Tyrol during the second half of the 17th century and the establishment of the first colonies.
We will visit significant locations such as the Galópolis neighborhood and the Território Museum, an open-air site featuring old constructions and highlighting the figure of Italian Hercules Galló.
Our next stop will be the grotto of Nossa Senhora de Lourdes, situated on the Estrada do Imigrante, which is surrounded by a natural environment. Following this, we’ll visit the Bonnet Museum to see period furniture and tools.
After lunch, we will proceed to the National Museum of the Immigrant, inaugurated in 1954, where we will learn about the settlers' journey to Brazil.
