Day Trip to Morro Reuter & Ivoti

On this day trip to Morro Reuter and Ivoti, we'll follow the famous Romantic Road from Caixas do Sul.

Day Trip Details

We'll start this day trip after picking you up from your hotel in Caixas do Sul to begin our adventure along part of the Romantic Road. Our first destination is Morro Reuter, a village colonised by Germans in the 19th century. Upon arrival, we'll visit Lavandário do Morro, where we can walk through lavender fields. Next, we'll explore Parque de Mosaicos Caminho das Serpentes (Serpent's Path Mosaic Park), surrounded by dense vegetation, featuring various mosaic artworks and a woodcut exhibition.

We will then visit a ceramics workshop and a monument dedicated to books. After this cultural experience, you will have some free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

Following Morro Reuter, we will proceed to Ivoti, stopping at the Japanese Colony and the Colony Memorial to learn about Japanese settlement in the 1960s. Upon arrival in Ivoti, we will observe its German architectural legacy, and if it is the weekend, visit the local arts, culture, and food fair. There will also be free time to enjoy afternoon coffee while immersing in the local culture.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Caxias do Sul after approximately 10 hours.
