If you're in Caxias do Sul and want to explore the German legacy of the region, you cannot miss this excursion to Nova Petrópolis, Gramado and Canela, three of the most beautiful towns in Rio Grande do Sul.

Day Trip to Nova Petrópolis, Gramado, and Canela

We will pick you up at 8:30 am at your hotel in Caxias do Sul and head south to explore three prominent cities in Rio Grande do Sul.

The first stop will be Nova Petrópolis, where we'll take a sightseeing tour to learn about the legacy of German immigration in Brazil and see the main points of interest, such as Praça das Flores.

Next, we will visit Gramado to admire Black Lake, Rua Torta, Praça das Etnias, and Lago da Borges, concluding at the Vale do Quilombo viewpoint for panoramic views.

We will then proceed to Canela, where you will visit the cathedral and have approximately 40 minutes of free time to explore the main shopping streets.

The tour continues to the outskirts of Canela to see Caracol Falls, an impressive 131-meter waterfall. You will then have the option to visit the Skyglass platform or Le Jardin Lavanda Park in Gramado, with 2 hours of free time at each location.

After this visit, we will go to a chocolate factory to learn about cocoa production.

Following this stop, we will return to the center of Canela for an hour of free time for lunch. We will conclude the tour by returning to your hotel in Caxias do Sul by 7 pm.

Caracol Falls

Until March 1, 2025, Caracol Falls will be closed. In its place, you will visit the Castelinho da Familia Franzen or the Aerial Cable Car.
