Excursion to the Itaimbezinho Canyon

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Caxias do Sul at 9 am. Our journey will lead us to Cambará do Sul, a key access point to the impressive Parque Nacional de Aparados da Serra.

Our first destination is the magnificent Itaimbezinho Canyon, a standout feature of the national park. The name Itaimbezinho means "sharp stone" in the Tupi-Guarani language. This breathtaking canyon extends nearly 6 kilometers (3.75 miles), offering views that are sure to captivate you!

We will commence our trek on the Vortex Trail, a three-hour hike that showcases the canyon from multiple viewpoints. This route will take you through an Araucaria forest, where you can learn about the local flora.

Upon completing the Vortex Trail, we'll take a moment to unwind before embarking on the Cotovelo Trail, which takes another 30 minutes. Following this hike, you'll enjoy one hour of free time in Cambará do Sul, perfect for savoring a meal at a nearby restaurant.

As we wrap up our day, we will return to Caxias do Sul, concluding the tour at 7:30 pm, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
