Details of the 2-Day Journey

Day 1

Your day will start with pick-up directly from your Istanbul hotel, followed by a transfer to the airport, where you'll catch your flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival at either Kayseri or Nev?ehir airport, you'll be introduced to this enchanting region of Turkey.

The exploration of Cappadocia kicks off with a hike across the scenic Kizilcukur Valley, where you can immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes and extraordinary rock formations. Following this, a visit to the charming town of Cavusin awaits, renowned for its authentic architectural heritage.

A midday meal at a local restaurant will allow you to savor traditional Turkish cuisine at your leisure.

As evening approaches, a journey into history unfolds as you delve into the Kaymakli underground city, an ancient refuge utilized by Christian settlers to evade invaders. It is estimated that this underground structure could support up to 3000 individuals! During your exploration, you will encounter stables, a chapel, communal halls, and intimate family quarters.

Your day concludes with dinner at your hotel accommodation.

Day 2

The second day begins with a delightful breakfast served at the hotel. Subsequently, you will venture into the remarkable Göreme Valley, noted for its Fairy Chimneys and rock-hewn churches adorned with exquisite paintings dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries.

Your exploration continues at the breathtaking Uçhisar cave town, where you can marvel at the stunning landscape dotted with unique rock formations that resemble something from another planet. You will also take in the stunning vistas of Avcilar.

Next, the adventure leads you to Derbent Valley, famous for its intriguing natural sculptures. You’ll also visit several artisan workshops, gaining insight into the craft of making Turkish carpets and exquisite jewellery from precious stones, including the captivating Onyx.

Your journey wraps up as you are escorted back to the airport for your return flight to Istanbul, and upon landing, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
