Capim Açu + Leão Beach Hiking Tour

Ready for a day of sports and nature? We'll pick you up at your hotel in Fernando de Noronha to head towards Sancho beach, where we'll start a 6.5-kilometer hiking route. The hike features both descents and ascents, along with viewpoints showcasing the island's scenery. We'll proceed to the Sapata Lighthouse, which is only accessible via this trail.

We will then descend to the Capim Açu cavern, where seawater seeps through rocks, creating natural pools to enjoy. Following this, another 3 kilometers along a volcanic rock path will take us to Leão beach, known for its sea turtles that come to lay eggs. The total walking time is seven hours, after which we will return you to your hotel.

Previous reservation

To participate in this activity, making an advance reservation at ICMBio (Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade) is required. Reservations can be made in person at the Visitors Center ICMBio / TAMAR - Vila do Boldró, in the National Park of Fernando de Noronha. The center is open daily from 3:30 pm to 7 pm. You may reserve up to 6 days in advance for a maximum of 6 people, and it is advisable to book upon arrival on the island.
