Fethiye Market & Kayaköy Tour

From one of the liveliest places in the city to an abandoned village, this tour of the Fethiye market and Kayaköy showcases the contrasts of the Turkish southwestern coast.

Description

At 9 am, pickup will be from your hotel for a drive to the most famous market in Fethiye. The tour will begin at Fethiye market, the largest in the province of Mu?la. You will explore various products including spices, fruits, vegetables, traditional sweets, and handicrafts during a two-hour free shopping period, giving you the opportunity to interact with local vendors and practice your bargaining skills.

The tour then continues with a half-hour drive to the abandoned village of Kayaköy. Participants will walk through its ruined buildings while learning about the history of the area, originally built over an ancient Greek city called Carmylessus. Stories about the village's past, including fires, earthquakes, and conflicts between Turks and Greeks, will be shared during this exploration.

Between 5 pm and 6 pm, the tour will conclude with a return to your hotel in Fethiye.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in the following areas of Fethiye: Calis, Fethiye, Hisaronu, Oludeniz, and Ovacik (with exceptions for certain hotels). If your hotel is outside these areas, a supplemental charge of 7EUR per person will apply, payable at the time of pickup.
