Spend an unforgettable night in an Amazigh desert camp on a 2-day trip to the golden dunes near Merzouga.
Description
Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga
Depart Fez in the morning towards Merzouga. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by the city of Ifrane and Azrou. Cross the Ziz Valley and pass through Midelt and Erfoud before reaching Merzouga.
As the sun sets, ride a camel across the dunes to a traditional desert camp for a Moroccan meal and overnight in a comfortable Amazigh tent.
Day 2: Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fez
Wake early to watch the sunrise from a dune, then return to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower (subject to camp type). On the return to Fez, visit Tafilalt and Rissani, then stop in Azrou to see wild monkeys.
The tour concludes in Fez in the late evening.
