2-Day Morocco Desert Trip

Spend an unforgettable night in an Amazigh desert camp on a 2-day trip to the endless fields of golden dunes near the picturesque village of Merzouga.

2-Day Trip Details

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

Leave Fez in the morning towards Merzouga. Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, known for its cedar woods and Barbary Apes. See the city of Ifrane, known as Morocco's “Little Switzerland,” and the town of Azrou.

Cross the Ziz Valley and pass villages like Midelt and Erfoud, arriving at Merzouga via a dirt road. Experience a camel ride at sunset to the desert camp, where you'll enjoy a Moroccan meal and sleep in an Amazigh tent under the stars.

Day 2: Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fez

Wake up early for a breathtaking sunrise from a dune. Return to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower (depending on your camp's specifics, breakfast may occur before the camel ride). Return to Fez, stopping at Tafilalt and Rissani, and admire wild monkeys in the Azrou forests.

The tour concludes in Fez in the late evening.

Desert Camps

Two camp options are available: standard tents for up to 4 people with private bathrooms, and superior haimas for up to 5 people with private bathrooms. Camps differ in food and decor. During high season, standard category camps may feature shared bathrooms.

An individual supplement applies for solo reservations. Air-conditioning in luxury camps incurs an additional 30 EUR per person.
