2 Day Morocco Desert Trip

Spend an unforgettable night in an Amazigh desert camp on a 2-day trip to the fields of golden dunes near the village of Merzouga.

Description

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

Depart from Fez in the morning towards the village of Merzouga. Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and view the cedar woods home to Barbary Apes. Admire the city of Ifrane, known for its architecture, before passing through Azrou.

Continue over the Ziz Valley and through gorges, driving by Midelt and Erfoud to reach Merzouga. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset through the golden dunes en route to a traditional desert camp for a Moroccan meal and a night under the stars.

Day 2: Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fez

Awake early to view a sunrise from a dune before returning to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower (depending on camp type). Visit Tafilalt and Rissani on the return journey, with opportunities to see wild monkeys in the forests of Azrou. The tour concludes in Fez in the evening.

Desert Camps

Choose between a standard or luxury desert camp. Standard camps have communal showers, while luxury tents offer private baths. Tents accommodate double occupancy, with options for triple or family tents. An additional charge of 30EUR per person applies for air-conditioning in luxury camps. Single supplements apply for solo bookings or if anyone requests a single room.

Private Tours

For a private 2-day desert tour, prices are 440EUR for 2 guests, 500EUR for 3 guests, 560EUR for 4 guests, 610EUR for 5 guests, and 690EUR for 6 guests. Luxury camp prices are 490EUR, 610EUR, 710EUR, 810EUR, and 910EUR accordingly. Private tours can be booked any day of the week.
