Souks, Koranic schools, colourful gardens... On this guided tour of Fez, we'll discover the main attractions of the cultural capital of Morocco!
Description
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the main gate of the Lycée Moulay Idriss. From there, we'll start a guided tour of Fez that will take us to discover the monuments hidden in the alleys of the Medina.
We'll begin at the Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate), the main entrance to the Medina. Next, we will visit the Al-Attarine Madrasa, a significant Koranic school. We will also explore the nearby Bou Inania Madrasa and its beautifully decorated interior.
Continuing, we'll walk through Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seguira, which are notable streets with various historical monuments. We'll visit the Mausoleum of Mulay Idris, a revered site in the Medina.
Our next stop will be outside the al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, a prominent architectural complex housing the oldest university in the world. We will also explore souks and ancient squares, including an Andalusian quarter.
The tour will conclude with a visit to Sidi Moussa, the oldest tannery, and we’ll end at Seffarine Square, known for its traditional boilermaker craftsmen. After 3 hours, we will finish our guided tour of Fez at R'cif Square.
