On this panoramic sunset tour, we'll visit Fez at the best time of day, exploring the city's main attractions as the sun sets.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the main entrance to the Lycee Moulay Idriss. There we'll start this panoramic tour of Fez to see its most important attractions at dusk.
Our first stop will be at the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate, the main access to the Medina of Fez.
We'll continue the tour to the Medina, where we'll visit the Royal Palace of Fez, known for its magnificent gates and historical significance as one of the largest and oldest in Morocco.
The next stop will be the Mellah, the Jewish quarter of Fez. The name derives from the Arabic word for 'salt.' We'll discuss the Jewish community and explore the narrow streets and former luxurious cloth markets.
Next, we'll visit Borj Sud for one of the best views of Fez with the sunset backdrop. Then, we’ll head to the potters' quarter to observe traditional Moroccan pottery-making and learn about Fez's early sewage system established in the 10th century.
After an hour and a half of sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour back at the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate.
