Merzouga Desert 2-Day Trip

Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Erfoud - Merzouga

After meeting in Fez or hotel pickup, we will venture into Morocco, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and passing villages such as Ifrane and Azrou. We will continue through the Ziz Valley and Ziz Gorges to Erfoud, where we begin our desert journey to Merzouga.

In the evening, we will ride camels to our camp, where a traditional dinner awaits under the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga - Rissani - Alni - Tizi N'Tfrkhin - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

We will wake before sunrise to enjoy the sunrise in Erg Chebbi. Afterward, we will ride camels back to a hotel for breakfast and a shower (options may vary based on the camp selection).

After departing the desert, we will travel to Marrakech, passing the palm grove of Tafilalet and Rissani. We will cross the acacia plateaus and the Anti Atlas mountain range, reaching Alnif, and then proceed through Tinghir and the Dades Valley.

Around noon, we will stop at Klaat M'Gouna for Moroccan cuisine before continuing to Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains. We will arrive in Marrakech around 8:30 pm.

Alternative to Camel Ride On Day 2

Instead of a camel ride from Erg Chebbi to the camp, an option is available to travel by 4x4 for an additional fee of €65.

Camps

This tour offers two camp categories: standard rooms with communal showers and superior rooms with private bathrooms. The haimas offer double, triple, or family room options.

Hotel pickup is included for accommodations in the Medina, with an additional charge for pickups outside this area.
