Immerse yourself in the history of Rabat with this tour of the old town of Morocco's capital, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Rabat Private Trip

After collecting you from your accommodation in Fez at the indicated time, we'll head to the Moroccan capital, located only a 2-hour drive away.

Once we arrive in the city, you'll have free time to explore Rabat's ancient Medina at your own pace, recognized as a World Heritage Site in 2012.

Explore the esplanade, home to Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. The minaret's construction was left unfinished in 1199, and you'll learn why on the tour. The tour will cover the artistic decisions behind the architectural design of the burial tomb.

Close to the mausoleum and tower is the Kasbah of the Udayas, a 12th-century citadel with hidden secrets. After approximately 1 hour of free time for lunch, we'll continue our tour at the royal palace of Rabat, notable for its iconic main gateway.

The trip concludes with free time at the fortified necropolis of Chellah, with vestiges from the Roman, Carthaginian, and Phoenician civilizations. Finally, we'll head back to Fez, ending the day after 11 hours.
