Bird-Watching at Barbas Bremen

Would you like to discover the natural heritage of the Quindío region? In this bird-watching activity in the Barbas Bremen nature reserve, we'll explore the biodiversity of this area of Colombia.

Description

At 8 am, we'll meet in the Vereda Lusitana de Filandia and enter the Barbas Bremen nature reserve to learn about its flora and fauna. We will start our bird-watching tour!

Before we begin, we'll have a Colombian coffee while discussing the history of the reserve and the efforts made to support its biodiversity.

The tour will include a walk through the trails where we will observe the birds of Barbas Bremen, including hummingbirds, tanagers, woodpeckers, streak-headed woodcreepers, warblers, and migratory birds.

Afterour walk, we'll head to the reserve's restaurant for breakfast. Refreshed, we will continue searching for other birds, including toucans.

We may also encounter other wildlife such as howler monkeys, otters, deer, and amphibians like the big-headed frog and the quimbaya harlequin. Before concluding, you will have time for lunch nearby.

We will end our activity after 6 hours at the meeting point.

Tour with pickup

Upon booking, you can choose the option with pickup at your hotel in Filandia or Salento. The tour will commence between 6:20 and 6:40 am and will last 8 hours.
