Let yourself be swept away by the rolling green hills and wax palm forests of Colombia on our private day trip to the Cocora Valley. You'll also do a horse riding activity in the heart of the Colombian coffee-growing axis.
Cocora Valley Day Trip & Horse Riding
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Filandia and take our minibus to the Guadalajara Reserve. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a pleasant horse ride along the mountains and streams, taking in views of the reserve. We will trot past viewpoints, cross streams, and learn about the history of this coffee-growing region.
After riding, we’ll head to the Cocora Valley, known for its wax palms, the national tree of Colombia. We will explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site while learning about the plant's features.
Next, we’ll use wallys, vehicles from the coffee plantations, to explore the Cocora Valley while discussing its flora and fauna. A stop will be made for a typical lunch of the Colombian coffee growing axis.
We will then return to the minibus and drive back to your hotel in Filandia, arriving 6 hours after the start of the trip.
