Let yourself be swept away by the rolling green hills and wax palm forests of Colombia on our private day trip to the Cocora Valley. You'll also do a horse riding activity in the heart of the Colombian coffee-growing axis.
Cocora Valley Day Trip & Horse Riding
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Filandia and take our minibus to the Guadalajara Reserve. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a pleasant horse ride along the mountains and streams of this natural environment.
From the saddle, you'll view the entire reserve, trotting past viewpoints, crossing streams, and learning about the history of this coffee-growing region.
After the ride, we'll proceed to the Cocora Valley, where you'll see wax palms, Colombia's national tree. We'll explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site while learning about the characteristics of these plants.
Next, we'll use 'wallys', vehicles common in coffee plantations, to explore the Cocora Valley, discussing its flora and fauna. Afterwards, we'll have a break for a delicious lunch typical of the Colombian coffee growing axis.
We’ll then return to the minibus, completing the trip and arriving back at your hotel in Filandia 6 hours after our departure.
