Filandia Guided Tour
At the selected time, we'll meet by the Mirador de Finlandia. Once gathered, we'll start a guided tour of this Colombian municipality with a colonial air.
During the tour, we will stroll through the center of Filandia, discovering the traditional architecture of this town in the Eje Cafetero. The flowers on the balconies and the facades of the houses are major highlights.
We'll discuss the origin of the municipality and its exciting history, with a focus on its connection to coffee. Included is a coffee tasting in the town's square and a discussion on the main handicraft products: baskets, hats, and more.
The next stop will be at the Bejuco Interpretation Center to learn more about the area. We will continue to the Pueblo Indio to explore indigenous culture and history.
We'll visit the highest part of the village for panoramic views. Optionally, we can climb to the Colina Iluminada viewpoint, featuring a 27-meter high wooden tower from where you can admire views of the coffee fields.
After three hours of exploring Filandia, we'll conclude the guided tour near the starting point.
