Milford Sound Excursion

After pickup in Te Anau, we will head north to Milford Sound, a key natural wonder in New Zealand.

The minibus ride to the fjord lasts an hour and a half, with several stops for photos and short walks to appreciate the landscapes of southern New Zealand.

Highlights include lush forests, Lake Te Anau, Mirror Lakes, and Eglinton Valley.

Continuing along Milford Road, we'll see Gunn Lake, the Hollyford River, and Falls Creek. Upon arrival, we will switch to a boat for a 2-hour cruise on Milford Sound.

As a World Heritage Site, this area features stunning waterfalls cascading from mountain walls. With some luck, we may observe endemic birds, sea lions, penguins, and dolphins.

A picnic lunch will follow the cruise to replenish energy. We will then return to the mainland, making additional stops at viewpoints for photographs.

The excursion concludes back at your hotel in Te Anau, approximately 9 hours after pickup.
