Enter Fiordland National Park to visit one of the famous fjords in New Zealand on this excursion to Milford Sound from Te Anau.

Milford Sound Excursion

After pickup in Te Anau, we will head north to Milford Sound. The minibus ride will take an hour and a half, with several stops for photos and short walks to admire the landscapes of southern New Zealand.

Highlights include lush forests, Lake Te Anau, Mirror Lakes, and Eglinton Valley. Continuing along Milford Road, we will see Gunn Lake, Hollyford River, and Falls Creek. Upon arrival, we will switch to a boat for a 2-hour cruise on Milford Sound, a World Heritage Site.

During the cruise, we will observe waterfalls cascading from the mountainous walls, and with luck, see endemic birds, sea lions, penguins, and even dolphins.

Before concluding the tour, we will enjoy a picnic lunch. We will then return to the mainland, making further stops at viewpoints for pictures. The excursion will end at your hotel in Te Anau, approximately 9 hours after pickup.
