Aurland and Lærdal Valley Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Mall of Norway shopping center. Here, we'll board a minibus to explore Aurland and Lærdal Valley. We'll begin by visiting the viewpoint in Stegastein, offering views of the spectacular fiord in Aurland and peaks over 1400 metres (4590 feet) tall that are World Heritage Sites.
Following this, we will continue through Aurlandsfjellet, with stops for photos and appreciation of the natural scenery before entering Lærdal Valley.
We will then arrive in Lærdalsøyri, a town with roots in the Middle Ages featuring one of the largest markets in Norway and charming wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Next, we'll visit the well-preserved church in Borgund, known for its blend of Viking and Christian architecture. A visitor center is available for exploring its history, along with a cafe for snacks and drinks.
Our return journey to Flåm will take us through the Lærdal tunnel, which measures 24.5 kilometres (15 miles) in length.
After 5 hours of exploring, we will conclude the tour at the initial meeting point.
