Aurland and Lærdal Valley Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Mall of Norway shopping centre to board a minibus for our tour of Aurland and the Lærdal Valley.
Our first stop will be the viewpoint in Stegastein, where you can enjoy views of the fiord in Aurland on clear days. The area features peaks over 1400 metres (4590 feet) tall, designated as World Heritage Sites.
We'll continue our journey through the beautiful landscape of Aurlandsfjellet, stopping for photos before reaching Lærdal Valley.
Next, we will visit Lærdalsøyri, a town from the Middle Ages known for its wooden houses dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
Our final visit will be to the church in Borgund, one of the best-preserved wooden churches in Norway. You can explore its history at the visitor centre and enjoy refreshments at the cafe.
The return journey to Flåm will take us through the Lærdal tunnel, one of the longest tunnels in the world at 24.5 kilometres (15 miles).
After 5 hours of exploring, we will conclude the tour at the initial meeting point.
