On this tour we'll remember the film "Under the Tuscan Sun" by travelling through the green regions of Umbria and Tuscany and visiting its star cities: Assisi and Orvieto.
Assisi and Cortona Day Trip
We'll meet at the indicated time at Piazzale Montelungo in Florence and head towards Umbria.
Our first stop will be in Orvieto, where we'll see its iconic Duomo and St. Patrick's Well from the outside. You'll have free time to explore this medieval town and enjoy the local gastronomy.
Afterward, we'll continue our tour by heading to Assisi. Here, we'll explore the city where St. Francis was born, visit the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi, which contains numerous frescos by Giotto, and see the Basilica di Santa Chiara. Finally, we'll visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, the birthplace of the Franciscan order.
We'll conclude the tour by returning to the meeting point in Florence, ending this 11-hour tour.
