While booking, you have the flexibility to select from several tour options, all approximately lasting 12.5 hours. Below are the specifics of each alternative.

Self-Guided Exploration

If you prefer to discover at your own pace, the self-guided option allows you to navigate the stunning landscape of villages that seem to float between land and sea. You will travel by bus to La Spezia or Levanto, where the entire day is yours to delve into the beauty of Cinque Terre. Iconic spots such as Manarola, Riomaggiore, Vernazza, and Monterosso await your visit.

Note that this option does not cover train transport among the towns. Details regarding the pickup location in La Spezia and the scheduled return time to Florence will be provided. The day concludes at Piazzale Montelungo, adjacent to the Santa Maria Novella train station, in the late afternoon.

Assisted Tour with Train & Street Food Experience

For those opting for a guided experience, we will meet at the bus terminal in Florence. After a 2-hour journey, we will reach La Spezia or Levanto as our entry point to Cinque Terre.

Our first stop will be Riomaggiore, where you’ll have some leisure time before hopping on a train to Manarola, renowned as the oldest village in the region, deeply rooted in fishing and vineyard cultures. From Manarola, we will continue to Monterosso, where you’ll have around 2 hours to enjoy its beautiful beaches nestled in a natural bay.

Subsequently, we will take a boat to Vernazza, a scenic fishing village surrounding a remarkable natural harbor, allowing time to uncover its quaint charm.

In conclusion, we will travel back by train from La Spezia or Levanto to meet our coach for the return to Florence. Additionally, this option includes a delightful street food tasting in Monterosso, featuring local focaccia and a refreshing sorbet.

Guided Tour with Train and Pisa Visit

Selecting this variant gives you the chance to begin your day early in Florence with a bus ride directly to the Ligurian coast. Upon arrival at La Spezia station, you’ll board the train to Vernazza, where approximately 1.5 hours are yours to explore its natural harbor and the enchanting corners of this lovely fishing village.

Next, we’ll travel by train to Monterosso, granting you between 1.5 and 2 hours to wander its historic center or relax on its expansive beaches. Afterward, we will head back to La Spezia and continue by bus to Pisa.

In Pisa, you will enjoy leisure time at the famous Piazza dei Miracoli, providing an opportunity to capture stunning images of the iconic Leaning Tower, view the Baptistery, and appreciate the majesty of the Cathedral. We will regroup afterward to return to Florence by coach.

Note on Itinerary Changes

The boat ride (exclusive to the guided tour option that incorporates train travel and street food) will not be operational between November 1 and March 30. Outside this timeframe, availability may also be restricted due to reasons related to logistics or adverse weather. Should it be unavailable, transportation will be supplemented by bus and train.During high season, scheduled visit times may be adjusted.
