At the agreed time we'll meet in the Piazza Santa Croce. Here, we'll admire the facade of the temple and go inside the basilica to begin our guided tour.

As we enter from the left side of the building, our guide will help us understand its wealth. We'll see some of the first works of art, such as the sculpture honoring Giovanni Battista Niccolini.

We'll take a guided tour around the chapels and see works by artists such as Giotto, with his frescoes, and Donatello, who created the crucifix of the high altar. The Santa Croce Basilica is notable for its artistic wealth and size, as well as the illustrious figures who rest within its walls, including Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo Galilei, and Rossini.

After visiting the main areas and the sixteen chapels of the church, the guided tour will conclude with a visit to the crypt and the bell tower.
